Raising Family Matters
Raising Family Matters is a supportive, evidence-based 6-week parenting program designed to help parents strengthen their relationships with their children, from preschoolers to teens. Developed by leading experts in developmental health at the University of Melbourne and Monash University, this program uses the Tuning in to Kids™ and Tuning in to Teens™ frameworks to improve emotional understanding, communication, and behavior management. Through small group sessions, parents will learn to enhance their existing skills, manage challenging behaviors, and create a more peaceful, connected family environment. Raising Family Matters focuses on building emotional awareness, supporting children's emotional development, and fostering resilience, while emphasizing the importance of boundaries and limit-setting.

As a first-time mum, I was approached to design the brand and visual identity for Raising Family Matters, a special project aimed at supporting parents. The green and blue color palette was carefully chosen to evoke trust, calm, and balance, aligning with the program’s focus on emotional development and family harmony.
I created a range of materials, including flyers, A-frames, posters, and stationery, ensuring a cohesive and approachable design. The colors, soft typography, and imagery of diverse families conveyed the program’s mission to strengthen relationships with children, from preschoolers to teens.
In addition, I supplied digital assets for the program's website, ensuring the visual identity extended online. This included banners, icons, and other graphics, all designed to maintain the same inviting and professional tone.
Being a first-time mum at the time made this project especially meaningful. I understood firsthand the challenges of parenting and wanted to create designs that would make parents feel confident, supported, and empowered in their journey. This project felt personal and rewarding, as it combined my professional skills with my own experiences as a parent.
